Donating blood saves lives! Thousands of people would die daily if not for donations of safe blood. Instead of donating money, make donating blood on a regular basis your way of giving back to the community, as 1 unit of blood helps in 3 ways because it’s divided into plasma, platelets and red blood cells.

All you will need to do is fill out a questionnaire with your personal details, answer a few health and social behaviour questions, have your iron checked and then donate 1 unit (480ml) of blood.

The procedure takes about 30 minutes and all needles are new and sterile, then incinerated after use. Just don’t forget to eat something first.
